Candle Phase Sweep Pulse
A liquidity sweep is only worth taking while there is still candle left to act on it. Candle Phase Sweep Pulse follows sweep-and-reclaim setups on MetaTrader 4 and confirms a signal only when the break happens early in the candle, not after the move is already spent.
Key benefits
- Timing built into the signal - a reclaim break that lands late in the candle is rejected even when every other condition is met, so you are not handed the worst fill of the move
- Two references, one logic - it watches both the prior swing high/low and the previous session high/low, so it works around the levels that actually get hunted
- Risk drawn with the signal - entry, an ATR-buffered stop beyond the sweep extreme and R-multiple targets arrive on the chart together
- Quiet by design - spread, volatility, cooldown and optional news-window filters keep it from firing into conditions you would not trade by hand
How it works
Price has to sweep beyond a reference low or high by a minimum distance, close back on the safe side with a real rejection wick, then break the sweep candle's opposite extreme within a short confirmation window - and that break has to happen before the candle-phase limit, measured as a percentage of the candle's own range. Only then does a BUY or SELL print, on the closed candle. Full rule set is in the Manual.
What's included
MetaTrader 4 indicator file (.ex4), with swing/session reference, sweep distance, wick ratio, candle-phase limit, filters and risk settings all open in the Inputs tab.
Best for
Intraday and scalping traders on gold, major FX pairs and indices, M1 to M30, who trade session highs/lows and swept swings and want a timing filter rather than a raw sweep alert.

Candle Phase Sweep Pulse
What has to line up before a signal can print
Candle Phase Sweep Pulse is a liquidity-sweep indicator for MetaTrader 4. It is built around one narrow moment: price runs a level, snaps back, and breaks structure again while there is still enough of the candle left to act on. Outside that moment it stays silent.
Every closed candle is measured against:
- Reference - the prior swing high/low (fractal-confirmed over the lookback) and, optionally, the previous session high/low
- Sweep - price trading beyond the reference by at least the minimum sweep distance, with a wick-to-body ratio that marks a genuine rejection rather than a shallow poke
- Reclaim - a close back on the safe side of the swept level, arming a pending setup
- Candle phase - how early in the confirming candle's range the structure break lands
- Context filters - optional EMA trend, minimum ATR, spread cap, per-direction cooldown and manual news windows
What lands on your MetaTrader 4 chart is the structure reference line, an EMA baseline, the signal marker, and a trade box with the stop and targets already measured.
The candle-phase gate, and why timing is the filter
Most sweep-and-reclaim tools only check that price broke a level - they say nothing about when in the candle that happened. The candle-phase gate is what stops Candle Phase Sweep Pulse from confirming a move that is already over.

- The break is measured as a percentage of the confirming candle's own high-to-low travel
- A break that lands past the Max Candle-Phase limit (50% by default) is rejected even when sweep, reclaim and structure all agree
- The mistake this is built around is chasing the reclaim candle's close, which usually produces the worst fill of the whole move
How the gate is defined

- Sweep + Reclaim - price sweeps beyond the reference by at least the minimum sweep distance (15 points default), then closes back on the safe side, arming a pending setup
- Structure Level - the sweep candle's opposite extreme, which the next candle has to break to confirm
- Confirmation Window - the break must happen within a limited number of bars after the arm (3 by default)
- Candle-Phase Percent - how far into the confirming candle's range the break occurred, capped by the Max Candle-Phase input; an optional displacement filter can require the break to clear structure by a set ATR multiple
From swept to fired: reading a signal
Signals are evaluated on closed candles only, never on the candle still forming.

A BUY prints when:
- Price sweeps below the reference low and closes back above it with a qualifying rejection wick
- The next candle breaks above the sweep candle's high inside the confirmation window
- That break lands before the candle-phase limit
- The optional EMA, ATR, spread and session filters allow the bar, and no BUY has printed within the cooldown (6 bars default)
A SELL is the mirror image: a sweep above the reference high, a close back below it, then an early break below the sweep candle's low within the window, subject to the same filters and cooldown.
What appears on the chart:
- A signal marker offset from price by an ATR multiple, so the chart stays readable rather than glued to the bar
- A trade box with entry at the signal candle close, a stop beyond the sweep extreme plus an ATR buffer (0.50 ATR default), and R-multiple targets - TP1 at 1R is on by default, with further targets configurable
- A dashboard reporting the active reference, the live candle-phase percent and the last signal, plus alerts for BUY, SELL and invalidation
Is Candle Phase Sweep Pulse right for you?
It fits you if:
- You trade around session highs/lows and swept swings on gold, forex majors or indices
- You have been burned chasing a reclaim candle too late and want the timing filter built in
- You would rather have the stop and targets attached to the signal than size them afterwards
- You are comfortable working intraday on M1 to M30 charts
It fits you less well if you want a sweep alert on every level touch. A sweep is only useful while there is candle time left to act on it, and Candle Phase Sweep Pulse exists to separate those from the ones that are already over.
Installing it: copy the .ex4 file into the MQL4/Indicators folder inside your terminal's data folder, refresh the Navigator panel in MetaTrader 4, then drag Candle Phase Sweep Pulse onto the chart. Every threshold above is editable in the Inputs tab.

Why Liquidity Sweeps Fail When You Chase the Reclaim Too Late
You see price sweep a level and close back inside. By the time you chase the reclaim candle, the move is already over. This is how timing inside the candle decides whether a sweep setup is still actionable.

Why my scalp entries get stopped out early after a liquidity sweep
You caught the sweep and the reclaim, but price turned against you before your entry could run. The break happened too late in the candle to matter, and Candle Phase Sweep Pulse is built to filter that timing mistake out.
