Do your trading timeframes actually agree right now
The problem with trading one timeframe in isolation
You spot a clean breakout on the 5-minute chart and take the trade, only to watch it reverse an hour later. The setup looked perfect, until you checked the daily chart and realized the entire intraday move was just noise inside a larger downtrend. The problem is not that your entry system failed; it is that you traded a lower-timeframe signal without knowing whether the higher timeframes agreed.
Most traders check multiple timeframes before entering, but doing it manually means you rely on memory, discretion, and whatever you happened to look at last. When you are rotating through a watchlist of twenty symbols, that consistency disappears. The Trend Mini Dashboard solves this by applying one shared trend rule across up to five timeframes at once and reporting the result as a live table on your chart.
What the Trend Mini Dashboard does
This is a status panel, not an entry system. It does not generate buy or sell signals, stop-loss levels, or take-profit targets. Instead, it answers one narrow question: do your selected timeframes currently agree on direction, or are they pulling against each other?
The dashboard tracks up to five user-selected timeframes, by default M5, M15, H1, H4 and D1, and applies one classification rule identically to every timeframe. You choose the rule from three options: MA Cross (comparing a fast and slow moving average), Price vs MA (comparing price to a single moving average), or RSI (using overbought and oversold thresholds).
Each timeframe resolves to one of three states: BULLISH, BEARISH, or NEUTRAL. The neutral buffer is deliberate, it prevents the panel from flickering back and forth when a timeframe sits near the threshold. The dashboard then counts how many timeframes are currently bullish, bearish, and neutral, and reports a single Overall Trend verdict based on which side has the majority.
The outcome is one compact table that tells you at a glance whether the fast and slow timeframes are pulling in the same direction, context you feed into the trading system you already use.
How to read alignment in a real session
Alignment is the core concept. A 5-minute move that only exists on the 5-minute chart behaves very differently from the same move when the hourly and daily are leaning the same way. Alignment does not tell you where to enter, it tells you how much weight the current environment deserves.
What alignment looks like on the panel:
- Full agreement: every enabled timeframe shows the same state; the environment is one-directional and straightforward to read.
- Split reading: the fast timeframes point one way while the slow ones point the other; typically a pullback inside a larger trend, or an early turn.
- NEUTRAL is a real state, not missing data, it means the timeframe is inside the neutral buffer and has no clear lean.
- Rotation: timeframes usually flip from the fastest upward, so watching the order in which rows change tells you whether a shift is spreading or fading.
The common mistake this addresses: traders read a single chart, see a clean setup, and size it as though the whole market agreed, when in reality only the lowest timeframe did. The mirror-image mistake is waiting for all five rows to match before doing anything; by the time every timeframe agrees, much of the move is usually behind you.

How to use it as a filter around your own system
The dashboard is a permission layer, not a signal generator. You read it, then apply your own entry rules. Here is how that works in practice:
- Treat the Overall Trend row as a permission state: when it reads BULLISH, your own long setups are running with the broader picture rather than against it, and the reverse for BEARISH.
- Treat Overall = NEUTRAL as a reduced-conviction environment: the timeframes are arguing, so a setup taken here is a counter-current bet, not a trend trade.
- Use the split reading deliberately, slow timeframes bullish while fast timeframes are bearish is the classic pullback shape your entry system may be built to trade.
- Let the score count tell you the margin: a 3-to-2 verdict and a 5-to-0 verdict both print the same Overall word but describe very different conditions.
The dashboard offers three display modes: Detailed (one row per timeframe with full labels), Compact (horizontal layout with dots and timeframe labels), and Minimal (colored dots only with a score count). You can place the panel in any of six chart corners and choose from seven themes.
Optional automation features include candle coloring (which paints bars in the trend color using one of three alignment modes) and four built-in alerts: All Timeframes Bullish, All Timeframes Bearish, Majority Bullish, and Majority Bearish. The dashboard also exposes hidden plots for Overall Trend, bullish count, and bearish count, so other tools and alert expressions can reference its state.
Who benefits most from this tool
- Top-down traders who already work across several timeframes and want that check done consistently instead of by memory.
- Intraday traders on FX, gold, indices, and crypto who want to know whether the daily agrees before committing to a 5-minute setup.
- Traders who already own an entry method and need a filter rather than another signal generator.
- Anyone rotating through a watchlist who wants the exact same trend rule applied to every symbol, with no discretionary drift.
- Traders building alert-driven routines who want to be notified when the timeframes line up instead of watching charts all session.
Knowing when not to press is worth as much as knowing when to. This panel exists to make that distinction visible in one glance, so your attention goes to the conditions your strategy was actually built for.
What the Trend Mini Dashboard does not do
This indicator does not generate entry signals. There are no buy or sell labels, no stop-loss or take-profit levels, and no trade management. It is a context layer, you read it, then apply your own system's rules.
The table is drawn on the most recent bar and always shows the current state, not a history of past states. Higher-timeframe rows keep updating while that higher-timeframe candle is still forming, which means the alignment you see at the start of the hour may not be the alignment you see ten minutes later.
Alignment is context, never a guarantee of direction. A 5-to-0 bullish reading does not mean the next candle will go up, it means that all five timeframes currently lean the same way according to the rule you selected. Markets can and do reverse even when every timeframe agrees.
The neutral buffer prevents flickering, but it also means a timeframe can report NEUTRAL for extended periods during consolidation. If you disable timeframes, they are removed from the tally entirely, which changes both the Overall Trend and the alert thresholds, fewer rows means each remaining row carries more weight.
Finally, this tool does not replace your existing entry system. It tells you whether the environment matches the conditions your system was built for, but it does not tell you where to enter, where to exit, or how to size.
How it pairs with other tools
The Trend Mini Dashboard works best when paired with an entry system that produces specific setups. If you trade pullbacks, Trendline v4.2 TDV can identify swing structure while the dashboard confirms whether the pullback is happening inside a larger aligned trend. If you trade reversals at key levels, S&R Pro TDV can mark support and resistance zones while the dashboard shows you whether the timeframes are beginning to flip in the same direction.
The dashboard does not compete with entry tools, it filters them. Use it to decide which setups deserve full conviction and which ones are fighting the broader picture.
